NUTRITION
- Do you find it difficult to achieve your health goals?
- Do you feel like your life is out of control?
- Have you been informed by health professions that you pre diabetic and one step away from being a diabetic?
- Do you fear that self-destructive behavior will end your life prematurely?
Health Coaches may suggest ways to crowd out less health supportive foods, such as added sugar, alcohol, highly processed foods, and any foods that clients have sensitivities to. They often recommend including more nutrient-dense whole foods, superfoods, and home cooking. This is different than prescribing a strict plan or regimen as Health Coaches help implement client-directed changes and sustainable shifts.
Note: It’s not within a Health Coach’s scope of practice to recommend removing major food groups, starting therapeutic diets, taking dietary supplements, or following extreme detox or diet programs.
I specialize in helping my clients with diet challenges because of my passion and history. I struggled with an eating addiction for many years. I was on a quick road to being a diabetic. I eventually ended up getting outside help. I learned tools to change my lifestyle habits. Those tools helped me to change my mindset and behavior. Those behavior changes changed the trajectory of my health and my life. I have maintained my weight loss for over twenty years. On my journey, I was able to tap into the root cause of myself destructive behavior. I know how it feels to lose twenty and fifty pounds and gain it right back. I engaged and practiced self-loathing because I did not like the way that I felt or looked. It was a nightmare for me. I cannot put a price on the life that I have now. I am committed to educate others with the strategies that I learned on my journey.
